   Bangkok to Paro/Thimphu

   Your Bhutan adventure begins with a scenic flight from Bangkok to Paro, offering spectacular views of the Himalayan mountain range, including Mount Everest and other snow-capped peaks (weather permitting). Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, complete immigration and customs formalities before meeting your local guide. From Paro, enjoy a picturesque drive (approximately 1.5 hours) through beautiful valleys and traditional villages to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. Check in to your hotel and spend the remainder of the day relaxing or taking a leisurely walk around the town. Overnight: Thimphu

   Thimphu Festival.

   Spend the entire day experiencing the vibrant Thimphu Tshechu, Bhutan's largest and most celebrated annual religious festival. Held within the Tendrel-thang of Tashichho Dzong, the festival showcases centuries-old masked dances, sacred rituals, traditional music, and colorful cultural performances performed by monks and lay dancers. It is also a wonderful opportunity to observe Bhutanese people dressed in their finest traditional attire, creating a lively and authentic cultural atmosphere. Overnight: Thimphu

   Thimphu Halt.

   Enjoy another half day at the Thimphu Tshechu to witness additional ceremonial dances and festivities. In the afternoon, explore the highlights of Bhutan's capital, including the impressive Buddha Dordenma, one of the world's tallest seated Buddha statues, the sacred Memorial Chorten, and Tashichho Dzong, the seat of Bhutan's government and monastic body (subject to opening hours). If time permits, browse local handicraft shops and markets for authentic Bhutanese souvenirs. Overnight: Thimphu

   Thimphu to Punakha

   After breakfast, depart Thimphu and drive to Punakha via the scenic Dochula Pass (3,100 m). On a clear day, the pass offers breathtaking panoramic views of the eastern Himalayas and features the iconic 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens. Continue to Punakha and visit Chimi Lhakhang, famously known as the Temple of Fertility, reached by a pleasant walk through rice fields and local villages. Later, visit the peaceful Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery, which commands magnificent views over the Punakha and Wangdue valleys. Overnight: Punakha

   Punakha Halt.

   This morning, enjoy a scenic hike to the beautiful Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, an intricately designed temple perched on a ridge overlooking the Mo Chhu River and Punakha Valley. The moderate hike takes approximately 1.5–2 hours round trip and rewards visitors with stunning panoramic views. In the afternoon, visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong, strategically located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. Widely regarded as Bhutan's most beautiful fortress, it is renowned for its remarkable architecture, exquisite woodwork, and historical significance. Overnight: Punakha

   Punakha to Paro

   Following breakfast, drive back to Paro via Dochula Pass and Thimphu, enjoying the beautiful mountain scenery along the way. Upon arrival in Paro, visit the historic Rinpung Dzong (Paro Dzong), an outstanding example of traditional Bhutanese architecture that overlooks the Paro Valley. Continue to the National Museum of Bhutan (Ta Dzong), where an extensive collection of religious art, traditional costumes, ancient weapons, and historical artifacts provides valuable insight into Bhutan's rich cultural heritage.    Paro. Tiger Nest Day Excursion.

   Today is dedicated to Bhutan's most iconic landmark, Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest). Embark on a memorable hike through pine forests to this sacred monastery, dramatically perched on a cliff 900 metres above the Paro Valley. The hike takes approximately 4–6 hours round trip and offers spectacular scenery throughout the journey. After descending, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan's oldest and most revered temples, dating back to the 7th century and considered one of the country's most sacred pilgrimage sites. Overnight.    Paro to Bangkok

   After breakfast, transfer to Paro International Airport for your departure flight to Bangkok. As your flight departs, enjoy one final view of Bhutan's majestic Himalayan landscape, bringing your unforgettable journey through the Kingdom of Bhutan to a close.
